1. Engineer/Sr. Engineer – Mechanical Analysis (MA) & Hydraulic data management (HDM)

Job Overview

The position of Engineer/Sr. Engineer-MA & HDM will be responsible to perform rotordynamic analysis of centrifugal pump and digitization of impellers using the customized software's. Solid understanding of structural mechanics fundamentals and basic vibration theory is required. Familiar with finite element modeling and experiences with rotating machinery is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Rotordynamic analysis of centrifugal pumps for the oil/gas and power industry.
Digitization for impellers of centrifugal pumps.
Preparation & submission of calculation reports/drawings and coordinating for customer approvals.
Structural analysis of baseplate and pump components using ANSYS
To provide technical assistance to project team to solve possible discrepancies & review and issue and follow-up the comments in drawings, specifications, etc.
Provision of general technical commentary in relation to mechanical analysis for client's files and standard documentations.
Making design recommendations to provide acceptable rotordynamic level, behavior of pump and help to resolve difficult or unusual product design engineering problems.
Quality and timely completion of work within the established man-hour budgets.
To share the activities among the assigned team and participate and actively support company initiatives.
Must be able to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
Facilitating dept.'s work in line with requirements.
All other duties as relevant to the post.

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required

Degree/Master in Mechanical engineering
Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing industry
Knowledge of fundamental of rotordynamics and proficiency in ANSYS
Knowledge of Drawing Practice in 2D/3D CAD software preferably in Medusa, AutoCAD, Inventor & Unigraphics.
Knowledge of finite element modeling
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player, good interpersonal & communication skills, ability to work in a global & multi disciplinary environment
Computer skills

2. Engineer – Tendering (Power Segment)

Job Overview:

The tendering engineer based in Mumbai will be responsible to prepare tenders for our Sulzer Pumps Business Unit based in North America in Power Generation Market Segment.

Requirements / Responsibilities:

The candidate should have,

An understanding of centrifugal pump hydraulics and selections.
Solid background in vertical turbine pumps as well as in horizontal ring section multistage pumps.
Knowledge of Combined Cycle Power Plant, Solar Power plant knowledge will be added advantage.
Experience of preparing proposals for rotating equipment packages for the Power Industry Segment.
Experience with API-610 specifications is an added advantage.

The deliverables includes the following:

Review and understand customer’s and Power industry specifications and transfer these requirements into proposals.
To follow company guidelines, procedures while preparing proposals.
Obtaining sub-vendor quotations, and interpetation of customer’s expectations.
Coordinating proposal activity with the Sulzer pumps business unit whenever required.
Involvements with customer regarding answer of their questions/ queries via phone and written correspondence etc.
Timely submission of commercially and technically complete and accurate tenders
Updating and maintaining global Tools log.Collaborate with the manufacturing facilities and sales teams on the development of winning bids in line with the business strategy with our Business Unit.
