Electronic & Communication

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the major Departments of the Institute. The Undergraduate course i.e. B.E (ECE) was introduced in 2009 with the intake of 60 students, which has now been increased up to 120. ECE, the combination of two major branches of engineering, Electronics and Communication, is one of the largest and fastest growing sectors of the present industry. Electronics engineering distinguishes itself from other technical trades by the constant redefinition of its sphere of influence... This branch of engineering help us to see, hear and communicate over vast distances, supervise production and manufacturing processes and oversee installation and maintenance of computers, peripherals and components. We work with equipments that use extremely small amounts of power. The role of the electronics engineer is pivotal in realms ranging from the toy industry to consumer electronics, from household articles to space/satellite communication. Our course includes theory, design, fabrication, production, testing and manufacture of complex products and systems. We realize the requirements of equipments and components for major industries, including the medical, automotive, robotic, computer and networking sectors. Further, the design of data processing systems for communication, including the defense requirements falls under our purview.

    ECE @ GLOBAL :

Our department has consistently achieved excellent results in the university examinations and also has a very good placement record.

Our department has consistently achieved excellent results in the university examinations and also has a very good placement record. Students of the department bagged the first rank in the university examination in the years 2015 (Prastuti Jain) for the B E 1 st Semester course. The students of the department have always bagged very good offers from companies like TCS, Citrix, Hexaware, Samsung R&D, Amazon, eClinical, HCL, Zensar, Synergy, Cognizant, Tata Motors, and many more. Experts from the industry are periodically invited to give lectures/demonstrations to the students on the latest developments in the field. Students are given exposure to industries by industrial visits and industrial training session. The laboratories are well equipped with the latest software and hardware tools to give a practical hand to the students. A special two hour regular Activity course (weekly) has been introduced in the department to give students a hand on experience of Electronic Engineering tools which are used in Industries. From Session 2014-15 the department got affiliation by AICTE and RGPV to undertake a course in M. Tech. Digital Communication Engineering with the intake of 24 students. The main focus is laid on the areas of Communication Engineering, Signal Processing, Image Processing, VLSI Design, Design of Antennas and Evolutionary Computing. Our students have cleared national level completions including GATE, GRE, and other public sector.
