Department of Engineering Chemistry

The Department of Engineering Chemistry comprises of qualified, trained and dedicated team of faculty and staff members who work in highly encouraging environment. It supports the undergraduate and Diploma students in understanding chemical aspects of Engineering so that they can be the better engineers for the nation. The faculty of the Department is actively involved in innovation teaching and research activity.

In B. Tech. courses Engineering Chemistry is taught in first year (set wise in semesters I & II) in all branches. In Polytechnic Diploma courses Chemistry is taught in the II semester. The Effective teaching abilities of department are reflected in the best university results that is nearly 98% to 99% in every semester.

Department of Engineering Physics

Department of physics is equipped with modern equipment, and highly qualified faculty members and technical assistants staff. Department not only gives knowledge of the applied physics, but also continuously motivated and connects students towards research. Currently the department working on TEQIP project titled Studies of Mechanical and Thermal Properties on Graphene Oxide Based Nanocomposites under the supervision of Dr. Sunil Kumar (Vice Chancellor RGPV Bhopal).

The department supports the undergraduate and Diploma students in understanding importance of Physics in the field of Engineering. All kind of basic electronics equipment (Experiment) performed there like; Hall effect experiment setup, Zener diode kit, P-N junction diode kit, Optical fiber experiment setup are available in the Physics lab. The Physics lab also has a Dark room. The Dark room lab equipped with Light relevant equipment like Spectrometer, Telescope, Newton’s Ring Experiment setup, He-Ne gas laser experiment setup and glass wear equipment.

Department of Mathematics

Since the inception of the college the Department of Mathematics came in existence. The department provides an outstanding research environment. The department taking care of mathematical input to all Undergraduate, Post-Graduate, and Diploma courses in Engineering and Management. The Mathematics department is full of experienced and well qualified faculties. The faculty takes research initiatives to work in recent and emerging areas of mathematics. The Mathematics department also plays a major role in the dissertation work of M. Tech. students.

Department of Humanities

The department of Humanities has been successfully using a need based technical English course to the Graduate, Post-graduate, and Diploma students of institute. The students are offered outstanding educational curriculum in communication that takes place in an atmosphere of academic excellence. The educational learning process involves advanced training in theory aided with modern equipments.

The curriculum specifically attempts to equip the students with required conceptual, behavioral and technical skills in connection to communication situation. The students are given the practical knowledge of different aspects of the subject of Phonetics, like accent, rhythm, intonation, phonetic transcription, pronunciation, listening etc, by way of well updated computer software in the language lab. The soft skills are also taught, enabling the students to communicate effectively. Through vigorous training sessions it also offers hands on experience to face and get through various selection procedures like Group Discussions, Personal Interview and other personality tests. The department also finds a place to induce right morals and values in the students that encompass not only work ethics but also the commitment and passion for their profession and society.

There is a well equipped Computer lab (i.e. Language Lab) in the main building of the college, having the facility of performing the experiments by means of ultra modern software based on English language and Phonetics.

The department has been largely successful in achieving its goal of enabling the weaker students to listen, read, speak, write and comprehend the English language in a proficient manner. Our efforts have invariably borne desirable fruits when the students are well educated, full of confidence and are able to express their ideas and thoughts effectively, that results in their employability with famous business houses.

As per university there are following five subjects taught in this department to the students of in the B. Tech., MBA, and Polytechnic Diploma:
