Roles and Responsibilities:

1.    Motivating Faculty members to actively involve in Research & Publication.
2.   Monitoring the activities of the Research Centers.
3.   Monitoring the research progress of faculty members pursuing a PhD.
4.   Create and maintain a database regarding Faculty expertise.
5.   Maintain a database of resource persons from other reputed institutions.
6.   Recommending faculty members for participation in Conference/Seminar/Workshop.
7.   Recommending faculty members for incentives pertaining to publication.
8.   Recommending project proposals of departments/individual faculty to funding agencies.
9.   Recommending faculty members to avail the facilities mentioned in the Incentive policy of the Institute.
10.   Facilitating in setting up/procuring equipment & consumables required to conduct research/consultancy projects.
11.   Monitoring the activities of the innovation and creativity of the college.
12.   Monitoring the progress of product development in the departments.
13.   Monitoring of effective utilization of funds of externally funded projects and related financial matters.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Research Committee

The Research Committee serves as a liaison between persons engaged in research and the administration of the institute. The duties and responsibilities of this committee shall be as follows:

  • To advise the department, through the departmental co-coordinator, on the implementation of new research programs and policies construct for the support of research.
  • To serve as a forum for the discussion of improvement and expansion of research activity.
  • To communicate needs or problems related to research and the research environment to the Chairman’s Office.
  • To make recommendations for the coordination of programs to enhance research and the research environment.
  • To make recommendations for the coordination of activities with other committees involved with research.
  • Develop a list of potential researchers for projects.
  • Organizing and managing various workshops or short term training program to promote collaborative research.
